About · Iron Custom Motors

A workshop with a backstory.

Iron Custom Motors didn't start in Portugal. It started in a competition workshop — one that won world titles, set a record on the Bonneville salt, and earned recognition from BMW Motorrad. That culture didn't stay on the show floor. Today it serves riders in Cascais and Greater Lisbon, on everyday machines as well as one-off builds.

Our story

From world stage to your bike

We've been building since 2010. The team began in Kharkiv, Ukraine, as the first Ukrainian custom workshop to represent the country at World and European customizing championships — founded by Yaroslav Lutytskyi. That's where the standard was set, on the bench and under the lights of the international scene.

From there the work spoke for itself. Our Beckman café-racer took us to the AMD World Championship in 2016. Inspirium set a world speed record at Bonneville Speed Week in 2017, in class 350APS-VG. In 2023 we were named BMW Motorrad Customizing Champion. None of it was about chrome or flash — it was always engineering first, the kind that holds up at speed and over years.

In 2025 we took the decision to bring the workshop to Portugal and relocate fully; on 2 May 2026 we officially opened our new motorcycle workshop in Cascais. The titles travelled with us, but so did the way we work: the same standard that competed on the world stage now looks after everyday service and custom builds across Greater Lisbon.

How we work

Principles, not slogans

01

Engineering first.

Every job starts with how the machine actually works — not how it looks. Diagnosis before decisions.

02

Transparent communication.

We explain what we found, what it needs, and what it costs — in English, Portuguese, Russian or Ukrainian. See the expat service page for the workflow.

03

Respect for the machine.

Your motorcycle leaves better than it arrived, and never carries a shortcut we wouldn't ride on ourselves.

04

We finish what we start.

No half-done jobs, no vanishing acts. The bike goes back to you complete.
