Iron Custom Motors has worked Harley-Davidson platforms for over a decade. Several of our internationally award-winning builds — including projects that placed at the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building — were Harley-based. That history isn't decoration. We're an independent Harley-Davidson workshop, and Harley is the brand we work on most. Service, repair, modifications, performance upgrades, full custom — none of it is a side gig. It's the core of what we do, week in, week out.

We service every modern platform: Sportster (XL, RH Sportster S, Nightster), the Softail family, Dyna (legacy), Touring (Road King, Street Glide, Road Glide, Electra Glide, Tri Glide), V-Rod (legacy) and Pan America. Typical Harley issues we know

We've seen these a thousand times.

When you specialize, the same problems turn up every week. We know what to check first and what just needs adjusting.

Drive belt tension misadjusted

The most common issue on bikes arriving from non-specialist shops. We reset it with the proper procedure and gauge.

Compensator bearing chatter

The signature Twin Cam / Milwaukee-Eight noise. We diagnose it and fix it with the right tooling and torque sequence.

Stator and voltage regulator failures

Common on Touring models. We read the symptoms on the diagnostic before replacing anything — no parts cannon.

Primary chain stretch and adjuster wear

The adjustment interval gets missed more often than not. We check it and reset to factory spec.

Stock exhaust map vs. aftermarket pipes

Fit aftermarket pipes without remapping and your fuel mix is off. We dyno and remap it properly.

Are you an authorized Harley-Davidson dealer?
No — we're an independent Harley specialist, and that works in your favour: no dealer mark-up, the freedom to fit OEM or aftermarket performance parts, and deep platform-specific know-how rather than just a brand badge. We've worked Harley for over a decade, with multiple internationally awarded Harley-based custom builds behind us.
Can you do Stage I / II / IV upgrades?
Yes — this is core work for us. We build dyno-tuned packages with documented power gains. Stage I is intake, exhaust and a map. Stage II adds cams and head work. Stage IV is a full performance build with bigger displacement. Every Stage comes as a written quote with a parts list and expected results before work starts.
Do you do custom and vintage Harleys?
Yes — it's what we built our reputation on. Several of our custom Harley projects placed at the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building. Bring the bike or bring the dream — frame work, hand-built parts, paint, leather, ECU work, the lot.
How much for a Harley 25,000-km major service?
From €400, depending on the platform and what it needs. That covers engine, primary and transmission oils, drive belt inspection, brake fluid, plus the platform-specific items. You get a written estimate before any work starts.
Can you import OEM Harley parts into Portugal?
Yes — we have catalog access to OEM and Genuine Harley parts. We source whatever your bike needs, including hard-to-find items that EU stores don't stock.
