Burly

After the success of the BMW R 18 Unbreakable project, Iron Custom Motors moved further into the world of BMW Motorrad customization with a new ambition. Burly was created not simply as another one-off custom motorcycle, but as a project that opened an entirely new direction for the brand — the development of a full range of proprietary components for the BMW R 18 platform.

The core idea behind Burly was to take the elegant, retro-inspired BMW R 18 and reinterpret it as a more forceful and visually dominant machine. The transformation: a dragster-inspired motorcycle with stronger proportions, more visual aggression and a completely different road presence — built to look powerful at first glance and unmistakable from any angle.

What makes Burly especially important is that it became the basis for multiple kits designed specifically for the BMW R 18: carbon bodywork packages, exhaust solutions, suspension components, and full visual conversion sets. The project demonstrates Iron Custom Motors' ability not only to create unique custom motorcycles, but also to engineer parts and upgrade solutions that other riders can apply to their own R 18s.

Burly remains one of the most strategically important projects in the portfolio. It connects the brand's championship-level custom expertise with a real-world upgrade ecosystem: parts, kits, design transformations and tuning solutions for existing motorcycles.
