English-Speaking Motorcycle Workshop in Cascais & Greater Lisbon

You've just moved to Portugal, you have a motorcycle, and you don't yet know who to trust with it. Iron Custom Motors is an independent, English-speaking workshop in São Domingos de Rana, Cascais — a place where you can describe a fault in your own words, get a written estimate before any work starts, and know exactly what you're paying for. We speak English, Portuguese, Russian and Ukrainian, and we built this page to give you the answers first.

Who this is for.

This page is for riders who are new here. Maybe you relocated last month and your bike came with you. Maybe you just bought one off OLX and a Portuguese-only listing made the whole thing feel like a gamble. Maybe you imported a machine and you're not sure how it all works locally. What you have in common is simple: no trusted workshop yet, a language barrier that turns a small job into a stressful one, and a need for someone who will tell you the truth about your motorcycle in a language you actually speak. That's exactly who we set up for.

We speak your language.

We work in English, Portuguese, Russian and Ukrainian — not a few memorised phrases, but real working languages spoken by the people who turn the spanners. You can explain the problem properly, and we can explain the fix properly back. Every job comes with a written estimate in your language before we start. We're independent — no dealer mark-up, no upsell, no surprise line on the invoice. You describe the bike, we diagnose it, you approve the price in writing, then we work. That's the whole process, and there's nothing hidden in it.

New to Portugal? Start here.

  • Do I need a periodic inspection (IPO) for my motorcycle? No. On mainland Portugal, the periodic motorcycle inspection (IPO) was abolished under Lei 25/2025 — motorcycles no longer need it. The Azores remain an exception. Rules here have changed before, so confirm the current position before you rely on it.
  • Buying a used bike? Get it checked before you pay. Our independent pre-purchase inspection looks inside the engine and gives you a written report — so you buy on facts, not a seller's word. → Pre-purchase inspection (€150)
  • Imported or foreign-plate bike? We can't do your paperwork, but we can get the machine ready — a proper condition check and first service after import, and honest advice on what it needs. → Contact us
  • Need tyres fitted? Tyre fitting and balancing, done right, while you wait or by appointment. → Motorcycle tyre service
  • Service by brand? Harley-Davidson, BMW, Ducati, Suzuki, Honda, Royal Enfield and Triumph. → Harley · BMW · Ducati · Suzuki · Honda · Royal Enfield · Triumph

Why expats choose us.

  • Your language, every time. English, Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian — spoken by the mechanics, not a front desk.
  • Written estimates before work. You see the price first and approve it. No surprises on collection.
  • Independent. No dealer mark-up, no quota, no pressure to add what you don't need.
  • World-champion heritage. Founded 2010, with an AMD World Championship title, a 2017 Bonneville world speed record, and the BMW Motorrad Customizing Championship 2023 behind the bench.
  • 5.0 on Google from riders here in Greater Lisbon.

How it works.

1) Message us in English on WhatsApp — describe the bike and the issue. 2) We diagnose it and tell you what's actually going on. 3) You get a written estimate in your language, before any work. 4) We do the work once you've approved the price. 5) You ride away — knowing exactly what was done and why.
